    Pete Freckelton
     B2  • For Pete's Snakes

Snakes are one of the most reviled & feared creatures on the planet, so I had very low expectations when I began my small educational business. It seemed an impossible conundrum: How do I convince someone that this creepy, evil monster is actually cuddly, comical and the most elegantly perfect creature to ever walk on four legs. In teaching people to fall in love with the most feared vertebrate on the planet, I've learned so much about the nature of anxiety, prejudice and the overcoming power of ambassadorial bridge-building. I adhere to conservationist Merlin Tuttle's maxim, ""Win friends, not battles.""  I can't cure phobias or anxiety but I CAN provide a safe, affirming environment where you're free to stretch yourself as far as you like, without pressure or judgement. All I ask is an opportunity to show you what these amazing animals are REALLY like. The rest is up to you.
