On the eve of National Aboriginal Day, we are proud to share with you this special issue of Perspectives.

Articles cover a wide range of topics related to Indigenous issues in education. Our feature story unveils the findings of our pan-Canada teacher survey on Aboriginal education. Other articles provide a snapshot of the initiatives and activities undertaken by CTF Member organizations in promoting Indigenous education in schools. A special thank you to Member organizations who contributed to this issue.

In closing, the Canadian Teachers’ Federation is proud to recognize First Nations, Métis and Inuit history, culture, language and perspective as an integral part of the learning experience and as the way forward for truth and reconciliation to become a reality.
