    • The Canadian Retirement Income Calculator helps you estimate how much money you might have when you retire. It will take about 30 minutes to complete.
  • Cost of Ageing (COA) Calculator (National Institute on Ageing)
    • The COA Calculator provides detailed estimates of potential costs, including food, housing, transportation, home care, and day-to-day living expenses, tailored to different circumstances across Canada.
  • Retirement planning (Government of Canada)
    • Provides resources on public pension programs, planning tools, and tips to help you make the most out of your retirement, no matter where you are in your journey.
  • Retirement Savings Course (ACPM - Association of Canadian Pension Management)
    • A free, user-friendly online course to boost your understanding of retirement savings, suitable for all ages and stages.  There are 6 modules which each take 20-30 minutes to complete. You will be prompted to create an account to save your progress so that all modules don't have to be completed at the same time.

    • A short quiz from CPP Investments to test your knowledge about the Canada Pension Plan.
  • National Institute on Ageing

  • 7 Steps Towards Better CPP/QPP Claiming Decisions:  Shifting the Paradigm on how we help Canadians (National Institute on Ageing)
    • An 8 part series of papers that aims to shift the paradigm of when to claim benefits from the CPP (or QPP in Quebec) toward more informed decision-making. It proposes new waysto help Canadians understand and benefit from the value of delaying CPP/QPP benefits.

  • McGill Personal Finance Essentials
    • From budgeting to borrowing, real estate and beyond, invest a few hours in this free, online course and you'll gain the knowledge and confidence to make a lifetime of smart financial decisions. Taught by professors from McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management, the course is open to everyone. Finish all eight core modules to receive a McGill Personal Finance Essentials attestation of completion.
