Punctuality shows professionalism and respect for the interview panel’s time. -
Dress Professionally
Wear attire that reflects the professionalism expected in a school environment. -
Stay Calm and Composed
Approach the interview with confidence and a positive mindset. -
Bring a Current, Well-Organized Resume
Ensure your resume is up to date, clearly formatted, and includes a working phone number that is easy to locate. -
Observe Your Surroundings
If the interview is held at a school, take note of your surroundings as you arrive. These observations may serve as thoughtful points to reference during the conversation. -
Organize Additional Materials
If you’re bringing additional documents—either requested or of your own choosing—make sure they are neatly organized and clearly labeled with your name. -
Prepare Key Talking Points
Think about a few main points or experiences you want to highlight, and find natural ways to integrate them into your responses. -
Be Authentic
Let your personality shine through. The team wants to get a genuine sense of who you are as an educator and potential colleague. -
Bring Notes (If Needed)
It’s perfectly acceptable to refer to brief notes during the interview. -
Consider Bringing Pen and Paper
Having something to write with can be helpful for jotting down important information or follow-up questions. -
Clarify Time Limits
At the start, you may politely ask if there are any time constraints or how long the interview is expected to last.
