Meeting Rooms

The Dr. Tom Parker building is for the use of NSTU Provincial, Regional, Local and Professional Association sanctioned activities.  We support the use of the space for not-for-profit affiliates (Public School, Community College, school staff and students, Schools of Education and Education Partners.)  The Dr. Tom Parker building is not available for use by political parties and organizations or individuals for the purpose of commercial activity or personal profit.

The Nova Scotia Teachers Union has six (6) meeting rooms available, all equipped with wireless internet access.  Meeting rooms are assigned based on the size of your group and room availability.  Meetings must end no later than 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and no later than 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Meeting room requests must be received two (2) weeks in advance. An email confirmation will be forwarded within two days of receipt of the request. All meetings MUST dismiss by 7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and by 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

PLEASE NOTE: The NSTU requires prior notification of meeting cancellations. Emergencies and inclement weather notwithstanding, a 3-day advance notice is normally expected. If the NSTU incurs significant set-up and refreshment costs for a no-show-no-cancellation meeting, the NSTU reserves the right to invoice the sponsoring group for a $100 cancellation fee.

If your group wishes to book a meeting room please complete the online Meeting Room Request form by clicking here.
